Follow Jesus Christ

Hello fam!

Can't believe we are already more than a week into December! No, we haven't seen any snow yet in case you are wondering, but I have been quite grateful for my good purple coat. And scarves.

We got to meet with a lot of our people this week! They all have good questions, and I am so impressed with how honestly many of them are searching for truth. For example, we invited one of our moms to church Saturday evening, and she told us she had plans to go to Catholic mass to see how she feels and what she thinks. She told us later she didn't like it but needed to check. She is doing a thorough search.

It is just so neat to get to work with people and see their understanding grow and see them experience blessings as they choose to live the Gospel.

On Friday we had a Zone Conference in Wrocław with Elder Kopischke, who is in the Area Presidency in Europe. It was phenomenal. Suffice it to say, we left that on a spiritual high and feel a lot of good direction and motivation about how to find more people who are ready to accept our message.

Today we got to go down to the Christmas Market at the Rynek (old town city center). It was magical. We ate some good Polish food and some chocolate. I will tell you all that Europe has this chocolate thing figured out. One of the things I will try to start in the US when I get back is a Rynek. And a Christmas Market on the Rynek.

I've been thinking about The Living Christ lately. I think it's about time I memorize it in Polish. I will keep you all updated. But one of my favorite parts of this document is when the apostles testify "He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come."

There really is only one way to be truly happy, and that way is to follow Jesus Christ. Following Christ is not always easy. It is sometimes painful. But it brings a deep sense of joy that is incomparable to anything else. That is why it makes me so happy to be a missionary, because I get to help people along this path to true joy!
