The Gospel Is Always Solid And Always True
Hello fam! We are figuring out how to do lots of things here in Poland. As far as updates go, you probably pretty much get the idea for how out missionary work is going right now--we are meeting with people through video and through the phone. And we are finding people through Facebook, which I am getting better at! So just FYI that is why I post on Facebook so much. We also have done a Facebook Live a few times, which has been good.
Also, President and Sister Chandler are so amazing. With so much going on, President Chandler has spent his whole Monday visiting different cities today--5 in all today. We made lunch for him and ate it all together this afternoon as we shared jokes. He has good dad jokes. It was really good and really reassuring. We have a mission devotional every night which we all join through zoom, and we have a mission wide contest every day "where the winner wins pride, not a prize." So far we have had best dinner picture, who hasthe most rolls of toilet paper, who can make the best coronavirus meme, and today's is who can make the best mask. So that has been a good way to end each day.
We are going to have 2 baptisms this Friday!!! We are probably going to do it in a river by their house and we have a lot of details to figure out, but we are excited!!! These two kids are so wonderful and have such a loving mother. They are so ready.
This Wednesday 2 of our members are getting civilly married and Sister Aramaki gets to translate and I will be a witness! It will be fun.
Even though a lot of things are crazy right now, we don't have to worry too much because the Gospel is always solid and always true. We can turn to rumors or to the latest news for excitement and drama, but to really have meaning in our lives we need to turn to God. And that makes us feel peaceful despite whatever craziness is happening.
"12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

#zostańwdomu
Hello everybody! Isn't it so weird how fast the world can change?? Over here we are pretty much quarantined. Streets are empty and everywhere the hashtag #zostańwdomu is flashing at us.
It all seemed to start for us on Wednesday. And then we would wake up and find out another huge announcement. But all this break from routine really helps one remember that so many of the things we do every day aren't the most important. It is nice to take a step back and enlarge our life perspective too.
A lot of things seem to be changing really fast and so it's hard to know what will happen. Like for example my companion is supposed to go home in 3 weeks. And all the senior couples are really close to going home.
Our people here seem to be doing well. We have 2 people on baptismal date now and we are really excited for them :) they might get baptized in a river because the pools and everything are closed.
I really like what President Nelson said in April 2018 General Conference: "We live in a world that is complex and increasingly contentious. The constant availability of social media and a 24-hour news cycle bombard us with relentless messages. If we are to have any hope of sifting through the myriad of voices and the philosophies of men that attack truth, we must learn to receive revelation."
God can bring us peace in the middle of this situation and all these projections and different ways we can analyze the situation. Isn't it great to have the restores Gospel and have the ability to receive personal guidance from God?
Love,
Sister Eberting

3. Sis Lueck made us pancakes because when we watched the sacrament service in Warsaw (cause we didn't have anyone who could give us the sacrament and so we watched theirs) they said they were having pancakes afterwards. So Sister Lueck promised us pancakes. I love her so much.
