Mam Talent

Hello fam!

This week we had exchanges with the Bydgoszcz sisters, Sister Jones and Sister Webber. Exchanges are always a party. I got to be with Sis Jones for the day, which was fabulous. Sis Jones served in Chicago for 5 months, and so it was cool to hear about some of the differences about their mission and our mission. We met with a less active and also with a girl who is interested. Everyone here in PoznaƄ LOVES Sister Jones. She is a really kind and thoughtful missionary.

On Saturday, we had a lesson with a less active. For one of the tangents during the lesson, he proudly explained how 10 years ago he had been on "Mam Talent" (Poland's version of America's got Talent) and he did two things: he balanced on 2 legs of a chair for 2 straight minutes, and he stuck some sort of strings in through his nose and out through his mouth and wiggled it to the beat of an Arianna Grande song. Good stuff. And the crowd really liked it but the judges didn't.

On Saturday Sis Baldwin, our friend Karol, and I did Park Run. Basically, it's a free 5K put on every week by volunteers, and so we volunteered to help out. So we directed people to turn left down a little cobblestone hill. It was so funny to watch the dads with their little babies in the strollers come by. They'd tip the stroller back and whizz down the hill. We also cheered for everyone as they came by, which kind of weirded some of them out, probably. And then some people were probably frustrated that we were cheering because then they had to start running again.

Karol taught our English class on Saturday too. He had a "15 minute IT presentation" at the beginning of class, but it ended up taking the whole hour. He divided everyone into teams and had us guess the date on a ton of nerdy facts (which apparently our phone clocks will stop working in Dec 2037???) Haha, it ended up being really fun.

Yesterday we had a really good testimony meeting and Sunday School. Yall probably already studied the 1 Corinthians 8-13, but I really liked this verse from 1 Cor 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The scriptures say it better than I can.

Love,
Siostra Eberting
