God Prepares His People Through Speaking To His Prophets

Hello everybody! This week was pretty good. We didn't have a ton of meetings scheduled for this week, so we spent a good amount of time meeting new people on the streets. One lady told me I need to watch Polish TV, and another lady told us that extraterrestrial beings created us and watch our every move to see if we will be good and sometimes they reveal themselves to us. Apparently Mary was one of those extraterrestrial beings.

We also had quite a few "chance" run-ins with people we have been working with. I love it when that happens, because it is so easy to see how God orchestrates those encounters. For example, we hadn't been in contact with the family we met a few weeks ago, and I was really starting to stress out that we were going to completely lose contact, and we were trying to decide one evening between stopping by their apartment or spending time talking to people on the streets. Well, we went out on the streets that evening, and guess who we found!

During the middle of the week, I got a call from a guy who is applying to BYU Idaho and needs his ecclesiastical endorsement. So I told him to come to church on Sunday and talk to President Womack, and I assumed he was a member who was just here for a few weeks or something like that. But he came to church and apparently he's not a member??? So we are probably going to start teaching him soon!

Today we drove with the Womacks over to Łódź (about 2.5 hours away) because they were doing apartment checks, and we wanted to go spend time with the sisters! Sister Webber and Sister Anderson are the best. So it was really fun to spend time with the Łódź sisters and elders for a few hours. After they finished apartment checks, Elder Womack took us all out to the best restaurant on Earth a.k.a Manekin.

I got to give a talk during sacrament meeting yesterday, and I talked about prophets--how they held show us how to come closer to Jesus Christ. During last General Conference, our prophet President Nelson gave us some very specific counsel on how to prepare for the next General Conference. I have started following his counsel by reading Joseph Smith History again, and it is so good! I encourage you all to reread President Nelson's counsel and then follow it. God prepares his people through speaking to his prophets. "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7)
